Nurburgring Nordschleife

Last weekend I went to Nurburg in Germany to visit the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife!
In my previous post I mentioned that Nurburgring Nordschleife is the most dangerous and most demanding race track in teh world and it is open to public.
All you need to do is show up with a roadlegal car and pay 21 euro's and you have yourself a lap around the 20.8 km long track.
The funny thing is that the Nordschleife is actually a public toll road. So it means that all normal rules which apply n the german autobahn is also applicable on the ring. But the police will only acknowledge what happens on that 20.8 km if someone either causes a crash or endangers others on the ring. In any other case the german police will act as if they don't know the nordschleife exists.
What is also great is that you can take a taxi on the ring. It's ususally a prepped car for the ring like a BMW M5 or a Porsche 911 Turbo. It will only cost 120 euro's for one lap for 3 people.
Anyways I had booked a hotel 500 metres from the track. In the morning whilst having breakfast you could just hear the tyres screaming in the distance. The hotel was great. Also the castle behind the hotel was brilliant. It's a pity I ould not stay any longer tahn a weekend. I had so much fun I think I'll be going back in May or maybe next summer. But by then I gotta get myself a decent car. I can't wait to go back and race my own car to it's limits.
Viva la Nurburgring Nordschleife!!
